Tour Description

Krka Waterfalls & Šibenik is a five to seven hour private excursion combining comfortable vehicle transport and guided walking tours, allowing visitors to experience both the natural beauty of one of Croatia's most famous national parks and the rich cultural heritage of a historic Dalmatian city. The tour begins with pickup in Split followed by a scenic drive inland toward Krka National Park. Upon arrival, guests explore the park's most famous area, Skradinski Buk, a spectacular series of cascades surrounded by lush vegetation and wooden walking paths. During the walk the guide explains the natural formation of travertine barriers that created the waterfalls, the traditional watermills once used by local communities, and the unique ecosystem that makes Krka one of the most remarkable natural sites in the region. Visitors enjoy time walking along the scenic trails and viewpoints while learning about the park's geology, history, and biodiversity. After visiting the waterfalls, the tour continues with a short drive to the historic coastal city of Šibenik. The walking tour begins at the central square Poljana and continues through Masna Ulica, where guests observe historic stone buildings and decorative architectural elements such as the characteristic columns built into the façades. The route leads to Trg Medulić and then to the square in front of the magnificent Cathedral of St. James, one of the most important Renaissance monuments in Croatia. Visitors enter the cathedral to explore its interior and the remarkable baptistery before exiting to admire the famous sculpted stone heads on the cathedral's exterior walls. The tour continues along the waterfront promenade before passing through the peaceful Perivoj Visiani park and concluding at the historic Church of St. Francis. This private tour offers a perfect combination of nature and history, allowing visitors to experience the dramatic landscapes of Krka and the architectural treasures of Šibenik in one memorable day.
